INTRODUCTION:

 

This course has been designed in a way that can match the demands of employees belonging to medical practice. It is well known that tasks of office workers at medical facility suffer almost double fold as those belonging to non-medical organizations. A lot of restrictions are applied to practice in medical care, viz., privacy of customer’s issues, strict tenderness and handling the human aspect and even personality of the patient.

          Apart from the medical codes of ethics being applied worldwide, yet particular attention has been applied to this profession based on religious considerations. KSA is applying Islamic rules within the entire components of the service.

          As per local regulations, patient rights are fully protected and the confidentiality is non-touchable. In addition, family architecture enjoys the same protection.

OBJECTIVES:

 

1. Understanding points of peculiarity of health facility and service:

          This would justify attention paid to behavior of medical and paramedical personnel. Ignoring these peculiar criteria might lead to conflicts or mistakes up to mal-practice.

  2. Understanding the nature of stress of work:

          The course will help to understand underlying reasons of stress. Meanwhile, clarifying the impact of stress and how might stress cause further health effects. Hence, the expected added value would range from mere understanding of the institutional environment that induces stress and coping with such reasons.

 3. Defeating stress & avoidance of its drawbacks: Nowadays, no one is immune against work stress. You will understand origins of stress at work environment and how to abolish, or at least to minimize, the impact of stress. Simple modalities will be postulated to mange stress of work.

4. Understanding principles & ethics of medical profession:        In fact, orientation about medical ethics is not reserved for physicians or nurses since office work is part of the common pool of the medical care.

5. Improving communication skills and coping with stress:         Effective communication is all about conveying your messages to other people clearly and unambiguously. It's also about receiving information that others are sending to you, with as little distortion as possible. Effective communication is the key to get you to where you want to be in your life. Communication is an essential skill for successful business and personal relationships. ‘Man is not an island’ – communication has the power to destroy, or build relationships. Communication has an impact whenever it occurs – we can use communication to influence every interaction in a positive way, by developing the skills needed to communicate effectively.

          The ability to connect and build rapport with other people is a foundation life skill, and should ideally, be actively developed from an early age. It is a learned skill, and can be learned and used at any age.

          Doing this involves effort from both the sender of the message and the receiver. And it's a process that can be fraught with error, with messages muddled by the sender, or misinterpreted by the recipient. When this isn't detected, it can cause tremendous confusion, wasted effort and missed opportunity.

6. Empowering value of team work:

          The ability to motivate employees to improve productivity is a crucial supervision skill. While team-working techniques are not difficult to master, they are often neglected.

          Trainee will learn building and maintaining morale of applying team-working techniques, and can personally benefit in addition to helping his institution.
