INTRODUCTION:

 

In the field of industrial equipments electricity and motors play an important part.  The course introduces the fundamentals of the lumped electrical circuit. Topics covered include: resistive elements, capacitive, inductive and networks; independent and dependent sources; switches.

The AC motor drives maintenance, installation or protection become very important. Several types of AC motors and motor drives will be examined during this course including maintenance troubleshooting and protection. The differences between these protection techniques will be emphasized, the purpose and flow of each type will be clarified. In order to make it easier to relate the AC motor and motor drives to the actual equipment, participants will see pictorial examples or photos of the components along with the description. Training will include exercises where participants create schematic protection diagrams  and maintenance based on circuit descriptions, as well as troubleshooting.   

OBJECTIVES:

 

After completing this 5 days course participants will be able to:
