Objectives

 

 

  • This course aims are to provide understanding of the basic fundamentals and constructional features of Power Transformers with particular reference to the design, testing, operation and maintenance of transformers in power systems.
  • The course also highlights the necessary safe procedures relating to Transformer Isolations, Energizing and related circuitry. Special emphasis is also placed on the Testing and maintenance of transformers.

  • Chapter 4: power transformer cooling and sealing systems

  • Chapter 6: transformer power factor and harmonics

 

Day Four:

 

  • Chapter 7: transformers protection.
  • Chapter 8: oil testing

 

Day Five:

 

  • Chapter 9: transformer testing
