Objectives

This course should give a thorough understanding of welding technology of various metals, alloys and materials. Such understanding is very important for preparation of any welding procedure, choice of the welding technique suitable for specific alloy or material, filler metal selection and any pre-weld or post-weld heat treatment. The course should also try to familiarize engineers and technicians with various aspects of the technology, design, materials, inspection and quality control of welds.
