The objective of this course is to introduce participants to the strategic management process and enable them to view all other management practices in a cohesive manner as components in the overall process of enhancing long-term organizational performance. Participants will have an understanding of the theory and principles of strategic management and the resulting ability to practice strategic thinking. They will also gain the ability to perceive issues from an overall organizational perspective rather than from the functional or technical perspective. The course will cover the steps of strategic planning and implementation using case studies and extensive exercises that will allow participants to apply the learned concepts to their own organizations.
